To drive the economic potentials of the North, plans are at an advanced stage to build two power plants for Kaduna, Kano and Katsina axis. Phase one of the project to be located in Kaduna is expected to generate 1000 MW of electricity solely dedicated to serve the three states and environs with an envisaged 1000 MW expansion plant in Kano under the phase two.
